Only 10% of an Iceberg is viewable.
That’s seems to be the case with NAIS, which is an acronym for the National Animal Identification System. Ninety (90%) percent of the NAIS FACTOR is for steady eyes, those who want to look deeper, and certainly not for anyone with a ‘Whatever’ approach.
We all know that an iceberg sank the unsinkable Titanic, and NAIS has its dangers as well.
If you haven’t heard of NAIS, or don’t know how it could effect your daily life, you should be warned that what you’re about to learn could raise your blood pressure, or at least make your hair stand on end!
“What’s the big deal, about animal identification?”
That’s a fair question. Different forms of animal I.D. have been around for years.
* Branding
* Ear Tags
* Neck Collars
* Tattoo’s
* Freeze Marks
* Embedded Chips.
- Keep in mind that (at this time) all of the above are voluntary types of I.D.
It makes some sense to I.D. our pets and livestock, after all, if they were to get lost, stolen, or mixed into a larger herd with look alike animals, the I.D. would help solve the problem.
Animal I.D. is also an asset for keeping organized medical records. As a matter of fact, that’s the main reason NAIS gives when asking for animal identification support.

On the surface it all appears to be innocent, simple, and helpful. But in this case, NAIS appears to be much like the iceberg.
But… Beneath the exposed facade, is NAIS grinding away at American Pet Owners, Farmers, Ranchers, Pet Stores, Feed Stores, and a large variety of related businesses? What about animal owners forced into mandatory report writing, extra expenses, and the loss of certain liberties?
Consider this:
Are you the owner of any animal listed below?
* Cat
* Dog
* Chicken
* Pig
* Cow
* Sheep
* Goat
* Rabbit
* Bison
* Llama
* … Or Horse
… what about a duck, mule, or maybe you have a pheasant operation?
If so, I’m told that the following is what will be MANDATED by NAIS: Each animal, will need to be…
A. Tagged
B. Chipped
C. … Or Attached to a Radio Frequency Device at Your Personal Expense and Inconvenience.
… And that if NAIS succeeds, you will NOT be asked to volunteer… even though NAIS uses the term “Volunteer” often!
Is it true… * NAIS is NOT fully about your health, safety, or well-being.

Is it true…* NAIS is about our USDA feeding billions of dollars to large corporations.
If all of this is true, the NAIS-Mantra-Mandate will sink us in deep waters, and we could reasonably expect the following:
1. Complete Compliance to NAIS RULE!
Or
2.. Face a possible fine of $1,000.00 per day + Jail Time!
What will be the mandates for NAIS PEACE?
* Mandatory Tagging of Every Animal On Your Property!
* Mandatory Report Each Time That Animal Leaves Your Property!
* Mandatory Report of Exactly Where It Goes!
* Mandatory Report of Exactly When It Returns!
* ……………. And much, MUCH more!
What’s the scuttle of much, MUCH more?
Want to take your dog for a walk?
… File a Report Immediately!
Want Grandma to see your new kitten?
… File a Report Immediately!
Want to show a lamb or bunny at the county fair?
… File a Report Immediately!
Want to buy or sell any type of breeding stock?
… File that Report!
Do you have a laying hen or two?
…. Forget the fresh eggs: Start writing and paying too!
Do you like to Show or Ride your horse off premises?
… Prepare to Report: When & Where.
Then write another report when you get back on premises!
If you don’t, the NAIS ENFORCER may confiscate your horse and put you behind bars!
No, this is not a lead-in to some fiction article, book, or movie
… But is it a NAIS reality COMING SOON to your house or farm?
Don’t bother to turn off the TV, turn the radio down, lock the door, close the gate, or pretend that you didn’t know… and no, it will not help to take your phone off the hook or turn off the cell. Once NAIS gains support, and our own United States Department of Agriculture receives funding, I hear NAIS will be making house calls!
You may already be under NAIS observation, without your knowledge or permission. I’m told NAIS has been paying kids to register their parents and even strangers as pet and livestock owners. Are you on the NAIS list?
Few citizens, pet owners, stable facilities, trail ride businesses, farmers, ranchers, and related store business owners are aware of the NAIS FACTOR. All that most see, or are told about is the surface facade.
If NAIS mandates slide into the public blood stream, will there be a big chill?
Will NAIS demands become a viral Super Stress-er?
Will their mandate affect more than the Mailman?
Will the ripple begin with writer’s cramps caused by report filing?
Will future generations view animal ownership as historical?
Will people view animal ownership as not worth the trouble?
Will NAIS be force feeding mandates into the lives of millions of unsuspecting owners.
Will NAIS mandates trigger a wave of animal euthanizing activities?
As with all government based programs, NAIS remains to hold the majority of the mandated agenda below the surface, and out of public scrutiny. The language is riddled with spin. That spin creates a very itchy fabric that appears to have been spun into Do-Gooder-Falsities by our political system, mega CORPORATIONS, and even our own United States Department of Agriculture.
None of us want the wool pulled over our eyes or to be tarred and feathered in our sleep. We are free to learn more and take action, before we get skinned by mandates that sufficate certain freedoms.
American Citizens have the right NOT to hide from NAIS.
If we sleep while NAIS builds possible fences for us to jump, are we going to awake with a lump on our head?
By NOT learning more and taking action, are we putting certain rights of Liberty in peril.
If we turn our head from this, what freedom lost is next?
It’s time to learn more about what NAIS is, and is NOT! Please take this admonishment to heart: NAIS will not cease to gain power if we sleep through the NAIS FACTOR advance.
By all appearances, NAIS Freedom will be gained by greed.
If the NAIS FACTOR is a grinding iceberg, billions of dollars will line the pockets of multiple major corporations, average citizen will be kept busy filing reports, and related businesses will be forced to pass the cost to the customer. That means the American consumer will pay twice, and our pets and livestock will join in the suffering.
